Gartner Survey Reaffirms Enterprise Mobile Device Adoption Not Yet Mature

The latest note from analyst firm Gartner argues that, in the grand scheme of things, corporate-issued mobile device adoption remains immature. According to findings from the company’s latest Personal Technologies study, based on responses from more than 9,500 respondents in the US, UK, and Australia, less than a quarter (23 percent) of employees surveyed are given smartphones, compared with 36 percent for laptops and more than half for corporate-issued desktop PCs.
