During my ten years as an employee of Citrix, I had the opportunity to attend many Synergy events in many places such as Orlando, Houston, Los Angeles, London and of course here in Las Vegas. Today I attended my first Synergy as a Citrix partner. It’s been a great experience so far, as a partner and proud Citrix alumnus.
Recently I heard new CEO, Kirill Tatarinov, say that the company’s core mission is “To securely deliver applications and data to users on any endpoint, and any network”. I would be hard pressed to remember what the core message was at my first Synergy (or even Summit) many years ago, but I have a sneaking suspicion it was something very similar. And I think the reason for that is clear – Citrix is and has always been about what the core customer needs are. If there was any doubt about Citrix’s focus on the customer over the last year or so, that was removed today.
In the keynote Tatarinov hit on the four big areas of focus: mobile, internet of things (IoT), big data and of course, cloud. For the mobile focus area, he stated that “over 1 billion devices will ship this year with 65 percent of those ending up in the workplace for daily use”. That’s a staggering numbering. Not just from a device management standpoint – where Citrix wins with XenMobile – but from a mobile app needs standpoint. Customers want their enterprise applications that they’ve virtualized with Citrix XA to be available – with a native mobile experience – on all of their mobile devices.
At PowWow we want to complete the story for Citrix customers. For us, it’s not only about secure access to apps and data on any device, but tailored user experience for any web or Windows application, on any device, over any network. And let’s face it, everyone user has more than one device! So that tailored experience has to move with you from device to device, securely and efficiently (read: fast).
Come see us at booth 814 as we demonstrate our new release of PowWow SmartUX, and allow us to help you say YES to mobile!
