Market researcher IDC says worldwide spending on industry cloud in the financial services sector (banking, insurance, and securities and investment services combined) is expected to reach US$3.2 billion in 2017, which represents an increase of 26 percent over 2016, according to the IDC Worldwide Semiannual Industry Cloud Tracker. IDC expects the figure to more than double in 2021, reaching US$7.2 billion.
